Tough decisions last year are paying off
Last year the club’s board of directors made a number of very difficult decisions designed to improve club finances. The financial health of the club had worsened as membership dropped and club fund raisers became less successful.

Club members were made aware of the problem and participated in making those difficult decisions, which included terminating our executive secretary, Kelli McCarthy, and the closing of the club’s office.

Last week our board received its monthly financial report which shows that the belt tightening last year is working. Through the first ten months of this Rotary year, net income exceeds expenses by $27,923.68.

Much of the credit for the turn around goes to Treasurer Julie Hayes and President Lauren Finke. As the year comes to an end on June 30, both women will turn over their responsibilities to new volunteers.
