Members Respond to Polio Plea

After a plea to support the latest request for funds to eradicate polio on November 3, twenty four club members responded with gifts and pledges totaling $1,833 towards a goal of $7,200. And the next day members in Cedar Falls pledged $1,401.

At its monthly board meeting October 29, three resignations were approved, bringing the total for the year to 13 since July 1. In that same period we've added only five new members.

The board has selected April 16, 2009 as the date for the second annual wine tasting event, "Cheers To You, Cedar Valley". The fact that it's the day after taxes are due is just a coincidence.
